SIPA
The Architectural Heritage Information System - SIPA keeps a record and manages technical, scientific and administrative texts and images on the heritage of Portugal and that of Portuguese origin.
This System comprises a number of interoperational databases, as shown in the graphic scheme, including DGEMN’s different research areas. It further provides structured information on the architectural, documentary and symbolic value of buildings and humanised landscape.
Begun in 1990, the SIPA imposed innovating technological solutions for adding documentary sources to the system and producing quick and accurate technical information. |
